Buy and Sell on Twitter With Tweba

If you are on Twitter, Tweba provides you with an avenue through which you can buy and sell all sorts items via twitter in an auction style setting. Tweba has been up and running since Christmas day 2008 and at the time of its launch it was called tweebay but they recently changed their name to Tweba.

How it works is that if you are selling items, you create a listing of 240 characters and you can also add one photo to the listing. From then on in, you don’t really have to do much. Tweba will send you a direct message via Twitter to notify you of about all actions taking place on Tweba. Listings can run their entire course as an auction style listing or you can have a ‘Have it Now’ option (an equivalent to eBay’s ‘Buy it Now’) as well. When the listing has run its course, the winning bidder can pay for their item via PayPal, Google Checkout or an Out of Tweba transaction.

I first visited the site when it was only a couple of days old and to tell you the truth I wasn’t overly impressed about what they had to offer because of the general appearance, site navigation and limited payment options just to name a few. I must say though that as the days have gone by, they have improved a lot and it may actually be worthwhile taking a look and trying them out. You won’t lose out on any money because buying and selling with them is completely free!
