A few days ago I was watching “Housewife Superstars” on 60 Minutes which looked at how more and more women are dropping their careers and going back to being stay at home mums to look after their kids and husbands. I was searching for a couple of things “New Zealand” on twitter a little earlier on today and came across a contest that reminded me of the Hamilton Island best job in the world competition. This one is not as big (prize wise) as the Hamilton Island competition but it is as exciting. This Turned out to be a SCAM!! The Contest was won by a blog that had only been up for a couple of days before the closing date. It left a lot of bloggers very unhappy and Ashwin got a lot of nasty comments from them. The posts have since been deleted but the blog still exists. I was reading through blogger buzz and came across their post Test Blogger and We’ll Love You and Pay You. It briefly outlines a usability study where you use a Google product or prototype and give feedback on it. There are four different types of studies where you either go to a Google office, do it remotely via a high-speed internet connection, a field study where are researcher pays you a visit or an online study.
