Earn With Your Photos – Shutterstock + Photrade

There are a number of aspiring photographers out there. If you are one of them, one thing that you most probably have stocked up is good photos that you don’t know what to do with. Have you considered selling them online? There are a number of sites where you can upload your photos and get paid for them.

One such service is Shutterstock. You get paid $0.25 each time an image of yours is downloaded. Once you have reached $500 in earnings, the rate goes up to $0.30 per download. What are the chances of your image being downloaded at Shutterstock? Based on the subscription model they run I think the chances are high. Buyers subscribe on a monthly basis and can upload up to 750 images over the course of 30 days. You can upload as many images as you like and this will only increase your earning potential. The minimum payout amount is $75 with payments being made monthly via cheque, PayPal or Moneybookers.

If you are looking for something that seems to be a little fun, there is also the option of a relatively new service, Photrade. Here you not only make money from your photos but from ad revenue as well. With Photrade, you upload your photos to their site and set your price on how much you want to sell them for. It has a ‘fun’ feel to it and also lets you share photos with family and friends. At the moment payments are made via PayPal. You withdraw money from your Photrade account to your PayPal account with $10 being the minimum withdrawal amount.
If you have photos hidden away that you think people may be able to use there is no harm in giving Shutterstock and Photrade a try. They may even be a place where you can look for images to use for whatever it is you may need specific photos for.

I just joined Photrade, love it so far…love it even more when the ad rev is back online and fully functional.

Been seriously considering the stock option as well!
