New Beginnings | Win TheWeblogZone Migration To WordPress

From Blogger to WordPressI have been with Blogger since April 24th 2007 with blogging about making money in mind and I must say, it isn’t as easy as a number of people may think. Truth be told, I have been getting a bit bored with my blog which has led me to rethinking what I want to blog about. Making money is still an interest of mine and something I would like to blog about now and then.

Something that has become more of an interest of mine over the past few months due to personal circumstances has been cutting down on the cost of living without compromising on the quality of life. My family and I are now trying to do just that. With that being the case we are always on the look out for ways we can budget better, pay off our debts better, dealing with creditors, saving a few more dollars; I’m sure you get the gist of what we are trying to do. I want to share whatever information I come across with people out there as well as sharing our personal experiences and progress. With all of that being the case, it may be a good time to re-launch this blog and under the right circumstances also move over to WordPress.

TheWeblogZone SEO MMO Internet Marketing Blogging TipsLuckily enough, I am signed up to receive email updates from TheWeblogZone and just the other day a post was put out about winning a WordPress blog with the following included:

– One Year Blog Hosting with BlueHost
– Domain Name (Subject to availability)
Thesis WordPress Theme)
– Custom Header, Logo and Banner
– WordPress, Thesis And Plug-ins Installations
– Blog Transfer: Blogger To WordPress
– One Month Free Support + 30 Minutes Telephone Support

All I need to do is tell Rocky why I think I should win. Well, as already mentioned, I am looking to re-launch my blog with its own unique brand and first off, having my own domain name will help in that respect. I have a few blogging buddies who started on Blogger who then migrated to WordPress. Taking that step has taken their blogs to much higher levels than they were ever able to reach with Blogger. I want to be able to share information and my personal experiences with as many people as I can which will hopefully lead to them making more informed choices when it comes to making, spending and saving money. Reaching as many people as possible will also be beneficial in that people will leave feedback and ideas that I won’t have thought of that will help me and other readers better ourselves. These are tasks that is see as being more achievable with WordPress.

I have played around with a self hosted WordPress blog a bit and there are so many things that I like with what it has to offer. These include but are not limited to: an endless array of themes to get your blog looking they way you want it to look. This leads to a more of a professional look and I want to be taken seriously; an endless array of plugins to get your blog to do what you want it to do; I can have posts as well as pages and I could go on and on.

The prize is a big incentive to move to WordPress and very enticing with the Thesis Theme, one year of hosting and the other extra’s such as a month’s support which I something I will need so that I can learn as much as I can to make the most of the WordPress blog (if I win).

If you are on blogger and are thinking of moving to WordPress you should take part too. If you win then good for you – I won’t be mad, promise.

I agree with you on a lot of points you’ve raised. WordPress is simply the best. Thanks to Rocky’s fantastic blog contest you might just get to move your blog to a more professionally looking home. 🙂 I’ve entered that contest as well. May you be the lucky one if of course I wasn’t picked. 🙂

    Nice meeting you, Garri.
