Air-New-Zealand-Airpoints-Mall

Your online shopping can earn you Airpoints Dollars at the Air New Zealand Airpoints Mall

Just like every other good airline out there, Air New Zealand has a frequent flyer program (Airpoints) through which members can gain points or in their case, Airports Dollars that can be used to book flights and redeem other rewards.

Airpoints Dollars can be earn’t via traditional methods such as (but not limited to) taking qualifying flights on Air New Zealand and partner airlines, staying at partner hotels and using an Airpoints credit card.

Air NZ recently took how you can earn Airpoints one step further and introduced ‘Airpoints Mall’. This mall is a portal through which members have the opportunity to earn points on purchases made from a range of online retailers which include iTunes, eBay Australia, asos, Strawberry.net, Beauty.com, Glassons, Menulog and Wiggle (where I managed to get almost 50% off the NZ RRP on a pair of Nike Lunarglide 6, see here), just to name a few.

As can be seen from the video above, using the mall to earn airpoints is a simple process. You browser through the mall (whilst signed into your Air NZ account) and once you’ve found a retailer through which you’d like to make a purchase, you click on the ‘shop now’ button which will take you through to the retailers website. Once there, you buy whatever it is you want to buy and the Airpoints that you have earn’t (based on your dollar spend) appear in your account within 5 working days.

A lot of us do a spot of shopping online now and then and if what you are looking for happens to be sold by one the retailers listed in the Airpoints mall, it doesn’t hurt to go via that route and add to your airports dollars.

By the looks of things, most if not all of the retailers they have in the mall ship to NZ but in the off chance that you come across one that doesn’t, and they have something that you really want to get your hands on, consider YouShop by New Zealand Post
