Surveys show that anticipation for the next generation iPhone is high and Gazelle (a recommerce site) has noticed a marked increase in the number of iPhones being traded in over the last few days. All of this points towards a successful launch for whatever it is Apple will announce on Tuesday and with that will more than likely lead to a significant increase in revenue for them.

They won’t be the only people who will make a financial gain from the iPhone. Affiliate marketers out there may want to think about; in fact, forget thinking about, SHOULD start promoting iPhone related offers. These can include promoting various iPhone accessories such as cases, docking stations, speakers (and the list goes on) from e-tailers such as Cellular Factory and Cellphone Shop. A fact that may be of interest about Cellphone Shop is that they provide a dropshipping service so you could sell accessories on marketplaces such as eBay without having to stock up on inventory.

Something else to take into consideration as a way of making money is app development. With the release of a new iPhone, there is bound to be a new range of functionality. This may lay the foundation to new and never-before-seen apps being able to be developed. There may be people out there who have ideas for new applications but wont have a clue as to how to create them. How to Create iPhone Apps with Zero Programming Skills is a good start for people in this position.

There you have it. As far as the iPhone goes, there is no time better than the present to get yourself ready to cash in on it!!

I saw it as a sign that more stuff is being sold on eBay and figures show that this was the case. Being a seller myself I experienced a slump in sales when the little global crisis hit and almost gave it up altogether. Over time eBay has been trying to lure sellers back by lowering or getting rid of listings fees now and then. Them taking that stance helped in getting me back onto the marketplace.

Because of the recession, some people have found it harder to get back into selling because of not having capital to get inventory and so on. One solution provider that caters specifically to eBay marketplace sellers is Kabbage. They provide funding to kick-start and help your business grow. They have a quick and simple application process where on approval, funds are deposited into your PayPal account (you can Sign Up Here if you don’t have an account).

The process of getting a loan through them is pretty simple with you only having to go through the following steps:

provide them with your ebay seller ID to see if you qualify

complete an application form

accept the terms and conditions (if they are to your liking)

The money is deposited into your account soon after and you can get going with growing your business. As with any other financial institution you get an advance from, Kabbage charges fees with theirs being a flat rate per $100 (rates information can be found in the borrower agreement). Repayments are made by auto pay from either your PayPal or checking account or you could chose to pay directly on their website or via cheque.

For some of you out there, this may work out as your best option when looking for funding to get your business back on track. At the moment they are only available in the United States but they will expand to other countries in the future.

What is phpBay Pro?

phpBay Pro is an affiliate script for building niche websites with the eBay Partner Network (ePN). It is available as a WordPress plugin or a stand alone API version. It allows users to quickly and easily place and add content to a site and lets them chose a single listing or auction or a range of auctions based on keywords to place on a site. It may have been built with eBay in mind but it is not limited to the ePN as you can also earn revenue via Pepperjam, Mediaplex, TradeDoubler and Affilinet.

When a visitor clicks on a product and places a winning bid, you receive a commission based on a percentage of the revenue generated by the winning bid. And, if someone signs up for a new eBay account via your site (active confirmed registered users (ACRUs)), you receive a bonus as well. The commission rates and ACRU compensation amounts vary from program to program.

Earnings are paid out on a monthly basis via PayPal or direct deposit (in certain countries).

My Experience With phpBay

When I first tried out phpBay, I was still using Blogger and with that being the case and me not being accustomed to WordPress I went on a hunt to see if I could trial it without having to spend too much money. I got a cheap (.info) domain name on Go Daddy and the best deal I could find for hosting was with Hostgator (I found a $0.01 1 month hosting coupon via a Google search). With all of that out of the way, I went about setting up the site with a bit of help from Ben Johnson who sent through a guide on building stores and also provided me with a theme.

When I set up the site (Hair Extension Supplies) I told myself that if it wasn’t able to cover its hosting for the following month (at the least) I wasn’t going to carry on with the experiment. Two or so weeks in was pleasently surprised to see that the site had made itself $23.59. What impressed me the most was the fact that I really didn’t do any sort of marketing before it started earning money. Since then I have started another phpBay site which I have put a bit more work into which is doing well (a tip I got before I set up the second site was to look for a niche within a niche within a niche).

Is It Worth It?

I would say that phpBay Pro is well worth the investment. It doesn’t take a long time to learn how to use it, set up new sites or intergrate it into existing sites and once all of that it done you don’t have to do a lot to the site besides a bit of maintenance now and then and of course a bit of promotion.

You really can get rich while you sleep.

eBay has just launched their new global affiliate platform, the eBay Partner Network. I was an eBay affiliate through Commission Junction (CJ) and that particular partnership has treated me very well over the months. A few people have signed up for eBay.com via links on my blogs and I have been paid which has earned me $25 per active registered user. On top of that, I have earned a share of eBay’s revenue on winning bids.

With the launch of the partner network, affiliates signed up through CJ are being asked to migrate to the eBay Partner Network by May 1st. I just signed up to their network and am in the process of migrating links and I like the feel and look of their network. For a start, you have access to all number of global affiliate programs supported on the network which includes eBay USA, Australia, Belgium, India, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and the Netherlands which means you will be able to cater to a number of peoples needs. They also have a geo-targeting feature which identifies the location of a reader and redirects them to a page based on their location so lets for example someone in Australia clicks on a link they will be redirected to an eBay.com.au page. This is just one of a few points of difference to being an affiliate through CJ where you had to apply to each on individually.

Once you are signed up, getting started with promoting eBay is pretty simple. From the tools section you have access to text links, banners, logos and configurable widgets. A nice feature with the text link option is that you can put in whatever link text you want which makes it easier to integrate links into sites.

Payouts are made at the end of each month and depending on your location you will have the option of being paid out via direct deposit or PayPal or both. Payout rates in the case of eBay.com are the same as they were through CJ and are as follows (please note that they will differ between the various country programs):

Revenue Share Compensation
eBay Revenue – Compensation
$0 to $99.99 – 50%
$100.00 to $4,999.99 – 55%
$5,000.00 to $199,999.99 – 60%
$200,000.00 to $699,999.99 – 65%
$700,000.00 to $2,999,999.99 – 70%
$3,000,000.00 + – 75%

Active Registered User (ACRU)
ACRUs – Compensation
1 to 49 – $25.00
50 to 1,999 – $28.00
2,000 to 29,999 – $31.00
30,000 + – $35.00

If you haven’t already put up eBay links and find that they may be a good fit for your site it could be worth your while signing up, putting up links and wait for the money to come in.

Back in June of this year, petere92346 put up a listing for a VERY rare 1852 bottle of Allsopp’s Arctic Ale with the title: allsop’s arctic ale.full and corked with a wax seal – brewed in 1852 for an arctic expedition. The listing included 3 photos and a one paragraph description of the item. The listing got 169 views, 2 bids and a final sale price of US $304.00.

The winning bidder (one very lucky person I must say), collectordan went on to re-list the item on eBay! with the title: Museum Quality ALLSOPP’s ARCTIC ALE 1852 SEALED/FULL!!! – RAREST Historic Beer in the World! AMAZING HISTORY!!! This listing included 13 photos of the bottle and a very long and good 30 paragraph description. This listing got 74064 views, 157 bids and a final sale price of US $503,300.00.

petere92346 misspelt Allsopp’s with one p as Allsop’s and put a period between ‘ale’ and ‘full’. You can view that auction here (please note that it will drop off eBay soon but Day Job Nuker has a screenshot of it). collectordan went on to re-list the bottle with the correct spelling, more photo’s and a very good description which really paid off in the end. You can view that auction here (please note that it will drop off eBay soon but Day Job Nuker has a screenshot of it).

This just goes to show the importance of listing an item correctly on eBay! and also doing a bit of research especially if it is potentially worth a lot. If you haven’t already done so, have a play around with this tool for searching for misspelt items here. You may be lucky enough to find something to sell at a very good profit.

There are plenty of stories out there of power sellers who are making thousands of dollars a month. Some of them do it selling ebooks covering a wide range of topics and a lot of other people sell tangible items. You can virtually get anything you want and need online.

There are a number of places where you can sign up to buy and sell items.
These include sites such as , and more!

Ebay has a number of worldwide sites/platforms which include:
United States Canada
Australia United Kingdom

When I started selling items online a problem that I encountered was trying to get stock to sell. Everyone is in a different situation, you may have a garage full of things you don’t need and could sell for a decent profit.

Some sellers prefer to sell through dropshippers . With dropshipping you don’t have to worry about keeping stock on hand and the shipping. That is all taken care of by the dropshipper. All you need to do is purchase the item when your auction listing ends and the dropshipper ships it off to your buyer.
For a great dropshipper take a look at.

The other side of the coin when it comes to selling is buying. Online auctions can be a really good place to look for bargains on things you are looking to buy and they are also good place to look for hard to find items.

Online Auctions could be for you and you could more extra money that you ever imagined.
