The knewsroom is dead! After being online for only 38 days, kluster (the knewroom’s parent) decided to bring the knewsroom to an end which is a shame because it was a really good idea. But, this doesn’t mean that you can’t make money via kluster’s projects. The knewsroom is survived by namethis which is yet another novel way of making money online.

namethis provides a platform through which people can get name ideas for their products or services. How it works is that people looking for a name post whatever it is that needs naming (for a $99 fee) and it goes through a 48 hours brainstorming session. At the end of the 48 hours, names are chosen and $80 from the naming fee is distributed to the namethis/kluster members who created or influenced the names.

As a namethis/kluster member you have the opportunity to cash in by either submitting names and/or investing watts in names submitted by other members. If the name you submitted ends up being in the top three chosen, you get paid out for your submission with the amount being dependent on what number it comes. If you played a part in influencing a name a small amount of money is shared between the influencers with the amount you get being dependent on how many influencers there are. The various payouts are as follows:
1st Place: $40 to namer, $10 shared amongst influencers
2nd Place: $16 to namer, $4 shared amongst influencers
3rd Place: $8 to namer, $2 shared amongst influencers

namethis is another relatively easy way that kluster has come up with of making money online. Even if this particular project dies a sudden death and you have not reached the $50 payout minimum, you will not loose whatever cash you have earned as it will sit in your kluster account. They are expecting and addition to their family in July which will present people with more ways of making money.
