More often than not, a number of consumers like me and you turn to the internet when the time arises to get our hands on that thing that we just can’t do without. Why the internet? Besides being able to do a bit of research on whatever product it is, we are opened up to a world of competitive pricing which in turn means bargains for us.
Lots of the bargains that we find online are offered via United States based retailers. PayPal’s 2nd Annual Global Report showed that 25% of all non-U.S. based online shoppers had shopped at U.S.based online retailers within the 12 months to that report. However, that said, one issue that cross-border shoppers run into is shipping.
Some retailers do not ship out of the U.S. for one reason or another and others do offer international shipping. Sometimes the cost of shipping is reasonable and other times it may cost an arm and a leg. Things can be further complicated with costs adding up if shopping from multiple retailers and having each purchase shipped (internationally) separately. These associated shipping costs can put shoppers off! But, there are options when it comes to shipping from the U.S. to anywhere in the world.
